happy hot girl thanksgiving

it’s giving…thanks!!
I love the holiday season because it’s a time we’re reminded to be grateful for everyone and everything around us! So wholesome! So lover!
They say the healthiest emotion you can have is gratitude 🦃
One of the things that will help you live a healthier, happier, hotter life… is being grateful every single day
It’s true! When I actually reflect on my life, I have a pretty solid track record: good things happen for me and everything I want happens for me, too.
Being grateful before you have all of that is the key though.
Here are the two things you gotta do:
Do the work to look for it:
The biggest mistake people make when they try to get into a “gratitude practice” is thinking it has to be about something huge or groundbreaking.
But it’s not. It’s about noticing the little things.
The tiny things that normal people wouldn’t think twice about.
The small signs that things are working out for you.
Once you start clocking those small moments, you’ll see them everywhere!!! You won’t be able to escape all the good things!!!
Do it regularly:
Find a way to make gratitude a part of your routine.
Maybe it’s journaling three things every morning like the TikTok girlies say.
Maybe it’s just something you reflect on while brushing your teeth.
Maybe you do a weekly Sunday recap where you list all the cool or unexpected things that happened for you that week. Whatever your prerogative is.
Whatever it is… you have to write it down!!!!
Writing things down is so powerful!!!! IT’S SCIENCE
When you write something down, your brain starts to look for more things that reinforce that belief.
Focus on good stuff = you’ll start to see more good stuff
Focus only on your problems = problems get worse
Just like everything else in this world, it’s all reps, it’s all practice.
Your gratitude muscle should be stronggggg 💪

me when the smallest good thing happens but i know i get to write it in my journal later
And because I would never tell you to do something I’m not doing myself, here’s a lil peek at some things I’ve actually written down lately that I’m grateful for
One of my work besties came to visit me in Austin
Surprise FaceTime from my big sis
Crossing the street right as the walk sign turned on: I didn’t have to stop…I literally was at the perfect pace the whole time and just walked through
New opportunities appearing unexpectedly 😏
A perfect apple almond croissant from a random bakery I stumbled into
Finally wore an outfit I’d been mentally planning for 6 weeks (and it hit)
The front desk person at my dance studio remembered my name (I’m a regular now…slay)
I ate my final bagel and finished the cream cheese tub at the exact same time. Divine timing. See TikTok below 💅
@bellarosemortel everything always works out for me even the timing of my groceries🤞🏼
One more thing you could be grateful for? Taking the leap to learn something new…

One challenge for you: Try watching an entire ~2 hour movie or show and not picking up your phone once during the whole thing (movie theaters don’t count)
Literally just watch TV in front of you and the tiny handheld screen isn’t allowed.
You’re either about to get humbled or if this is easy for you…congrats lol

You’re living under a rock if you don’t know where this image is from:

queue “Whatcha Say” by Jason Derulo
This, my dears, is from one of the most iconic Gossip Girl Thanksgiving episodes: season 3, episode 11, “The Treasure of Serena Madre”
The episode builds to a chaotic and dramatic Thanksgiving dinner where all of Manhattan’s elite’s secrets revealed: affairs, pregnancies, mommy (and daddy) issues, etc etc
And it just so happens to be a fun TikTok trend that gets recreated this time of year when we’re home for the holidays. So there’s a little context for your FYP this week :)
